New to the SCA?

The Barony of Lochmere is here to help you enjoy researching and recreating the history, martial arts, and arts and sciences of Medieval and Renaissance Europe! If you are new to the SCA or new to the area, this page will help you get started. Your local Chatelaines are here to help newcomers with information about the SCA and to assist you by answering any questions you may have. Please email our chatelaine Lady Aine d’Alton for more information!

Getting Involved

The best way for you to enjoy your SCA experience to become as active as your modern responsibilities will allow. With that in mind, check out our Activities page for information on our regularly scheduled activities.

E-mail List

If you want to get access to information not found on our website, join our baronial e-mail list to get updates and discussions from the officers and populace.

Facebook

You can also check us out in social media. Follow us on Facebook to join the discussion!

Newsletter

Another great way to keep informed about baronial activities is to read the baronial newsletter, The Dredgings.

Membership

While membership in the Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA) is not required for you to participate in baronial activities, we highly recommended it for the following reasons.

You will access the Kingdom of Atlantia online newsletter, The Acorn, which will provide information on other events in the Kingdom.

Your membership will allow you to participate fully in SCA activities such as fighting or holding a local office, and you will officially be included on our Barony rolls, which allows you to submit your official opinion in any baronial pollings.

For more information regarding SCA memberships and various discounts that are available, such as Student memberships and family discounts, please visit: About Membership in the SCA.

Welcome once again to the Barony of Lochmere.
